ASUD - HISTORY TEACHERS´ ASSOCIATION OF THE CZECH REPUBLIC
Dear collegues, we are happy to get in touch with you.
Our association was founded in 1995 (from 1990 to 1995 we were the members of the teachers groupe of the organization of Czech historians - History club). We try to help our collegues in history teaching. We have about three hundred members from both basic and secondary schools from all parts of Bohemia and Moravia.
We have been members of EUROCLIO since 1993. We are glad to cooperate with our colleagues from other European countries. In 1995 we took part in the internacional „Project for democracy“ and we organized the final conference for the project´s participants from six countries in Prague in October 1995. We are happy to invite and to meet many colleagues and to get many friends in several countries.
We are not satisfied with the conditions for history teaching in our country, with in-service training in Universities and other High schools, but we haven´t been succesfull in contacts with our authorities up to now. We cooperate also with our historians. Many of them help us to prepare our courses for teachers and in discussion with czech authorities and members of Parliament.
Our Association would like to get good work experiences of history teachers´ associations existing longer than we and teachers´ work as well. We welcome news, writing information and faxes on our contact addreses:
